Gracie at play...

It is so easy to getgood pictures of Gracie now that she awake during the day versus the night. These are pictures of her playing with her christmas gift from grandpa Mike. As you can tell Lewie is never too far away from her. She has gotten really good at focusing on an object and following it. She still enjoys the swing too. She is growing so quick.
Grandpa Mike had his first round of babysitting duty today. He and Gracie got along like 2 peas in a pod. Actually, Iam a little jealous because this evening when she got tired and grumpy she only calmed down for him, and she fell asleep for him without a bottle. Just one day with him and she is already spoiled(lol). Hope you all enjoy the pictures.

Gracie up close and personal.

I just was sitting here enjoying my evening at home with my happy little girl. She has been such a good girl today. I mean she is always a good girl but she has been super calm today. I am hoping it is because she is getting a schedule now. we all have been enjoying the sleep filled nights that we have had this week. The thicker formula seems to be working. Today was great at work. I didn't allow anyone to bother her except when she needed to be burbed and I think that made her happy. She didn't go into her fussy mode at 2 pm like she usually does. It was just a nice day all in all.
We got home and I put her in her swing while I did some laundry and the dishes and she was a happy little baby. I think we are all starting to settle into our new life as a "family". Hope you all enjoy the pictures. I was so happy I got a few with her eyes open. By the way her eyes are turning more to the hazel color everyday. And her hair is starting to lighten back toward the blonde side. And boy is it getting thick.
Take care.

4 weeks old today.

Good evening everyone. Gracie and I had a nice day at work today. She allowed me and Zac to have a full night's sleep last night except for feeding so I was able to get us to work before 9:30 am. Ithink she may have gotten too much sleep because she has been awake all day and alittle fussy. But the sleep was nice, hopefully it will continue, keep your fingers crossed for us.
It is hard to believe that Gracie is 4 weeks old today, time sure flies. I am sorry that the pictures aren't that great but she was so comfortable I just took a couple to update the blog. As you can tell by her shirt she is resting up so she can be the best "social butterfly" she can be.
Hope everyone had a great holiday, I myself am rather happy it is over with. I am ready for things to get back to normal and get a schedule set for my little butterfly.
Take care and enjoy.

Gracie's first Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone. We have had a nice relaxing Christmas morning here in Mrytle Beach with Dave and Wanda. Gracie gave me and Zac the gift of sleep. She was such a good baby this morning. She woke up at 5:30 am long enough to eat and get changed and she slept until about 9:30. She was pretty calm through the gift opening and just looked around.
She looks so cute in her "first christmas outfit".
I just wanted to share some photo's real quick while she is snoozing. We love everyone and wish we could see you all for the holidays but I promise to give Gracie a big hug and kiss from all of you.
Merry Christmas Again!

The miracle they call a baby swing.

Hello everyone. Gracie is doing so much better with her sleeping patterns now. She is sleeping for about 4 hours now which is so very nice. You never know how much sleep matters until you can't get it. We had to go shopping today to try to get some gifts boy is it hard to get around safely with a baby during the holiday shopping season. I think we did okay but it was kinda stressful. We were glad to throw in the towel and just buy some gift cards. I am so thankful for gift cards, it made our life easier this time around.
We bought Gracie a few small things. She is starting to focus alittle more so we had to get her some things for her to be able to look at while laying around. She is staying awake more during the day, this is very exciting for me because it is fun to see how she reacts to things. Plus, she is just such a "laid back" baby. There isn't too much that upsets her other than us not getting her bottle to her quick enough and a messy diaper.
Enjoy the photos. Merry Christmas to everyone!
(Pam/Stephen if you are reading this: Gracie is wearing the sleeper outfit that you guys gave us while we were there for Grandma's birthday. SHe is so cute in it!)

3 weeks old.....

Our little Gracie is 3 weeks old today. Wow how time flies. She is still staying up for the majority of the night but it seems like she is getting alittle better. She isleeping for about 4 hours now versus the 2 she had been sleeping. She is now drinking 4 oz of milk per feeding. I think this isa keeping her full longer which equals more sleep for me.

I have been going to work for a few hours a day since last week. Gracie has won the hearts of all my employees. Everyone enjoys her being there. Makes the work place seem alittle more brighter. I am trying to get a schedule set hoping that will help with her sleeping pattern. Wish me luck.

I was so excited today I finally got Gracie into a sleeper outfit. She had such long skinny feet they kept falling out of the foot part. But since her legs are longer now she can fit in a couple of the sleeper that were bought for her. Makes me feel better to have her in warmer clothes before she would only wear onsies which were not warm enough or the long gowns which were to thick. Hope you all enjoy the pictures. Oh forgot to mention that my lil' blonde headed girl looks like she is going to be a red head after all.

Take care and I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.

Sleeping Gracie

Hello everyone. Well, we have made it through another week. Gracie is doing well. Zac and I are alittle tired though. But we knew that came along with a new baby. Gracie did however sleep through the night last night. I must say it was nice to sleep a couple hours straight. I am not sure if we will be lucky like that tonight but we can all hope right? We are trying several different things to get her to sleep through the night. Yesterday we started using some gas drops in her formula so maybe that will help her sleep. We will keep you posted on her sleep.
As you can tell by the photos she has perfected sleeping during the day. So, I have not been able to catch any photos with her eyes open this week but plenty of her snoozing. So I am sharing with you all her "pucking pose" and her favorite sleeping pose with her hands above her head.
I hope you all enjoy.

2 weeks and counting....

Hello everyone. Today we had Gracie's 2 week check-up. The doctor said that Gracie was doing great. She weighs 8 lbs 8 oz now, our little piggy(he he). She was measured again and only measured in at 21 inches, no she didn't shrink don't worry. They had this crazy contraption that they use versus the old measuring tape the hospital uses. So, let's take the middle road and say she is 21 1/2 inches long. I am getting alittle slack with the picture taking. This staying up all night is really taking it's toll on me but I am being a trooper and know that it may last for a couple months. But have no fear I will snap some tomorrow. I was alittle disappointed with the above picture looks like she is trying to dance a jig or something. But she is still a cutey. The second picture is a winner though, can you tell she is a "daddy's girl" already?
Hope you all enjoy the pics. I will try to get a few new ones tomorrow.
Darn, she is smiling right now. Perfect photo but you know the camera would be out of reach.
Good Night everyone.

Hi Ho Hi Ho It's off to Mom's work I go.

Gracie and I went to my work today. She was all "dolled" up for the big day. But by the end of the day she had managed to spit-up on two of my workers and me. I think it was just her way of getting changed back into a comfortable gown and out of the pink onsie I had her in. But hey who can blame her right?
She actually did really well, slept through all the commotions of a work place.
We got her first photos back today so I will be mailing those out sometime this week along with our christmas cards that have been sitting in the front seat of my car for the last week. Hope this posting finds everyone doing well. We are all doing good here, just alittle sleepy around the edges. Take care.

Sunday at home.....ahhhh!

Hello everyone. Gracie and I had a wonderful day at home. She still has her days and nights mixed up so she slept for most of the day. I must admit me and Lewie snagged a hour and a half nap ourselves before Zac got home. I had a few chances to snag some cute photos today too.
She is showing more and more interest in her surroundings now.
I have found several "tickle" spots on her and she gets the funniest look on her face when you goose her.
She also puckers her lips when you give her a kiss. Well, I take that back, when Zac gives her a kiss she gets this funny grimace because his whiskers tickle her lips. You have to love the puckered pose and the great thinker pose.
Take care everyone!
I hope everyone enjoys the photos.

She is 9 days old and just slept through a night!

Little Gracie is 9 days old today and she just slept through her first night(well she woke to eat once). Zac and I were so thankful. Yes, we know that she can switch back to being up at night but we are hoping that this lasts for a couple days. Zac returns to the work force tomorrow. I myself am not sure when I will return, I am kinda going stir crazy already just sitting around the house.
We are getting fairly good at changing diapers and making bottles. Not to mention keeping her fed, luckily she is on a 2 1/2 feeding schedule and wakes up on her own ready to be changed and fed. What I good life.
Lewie, our dog, is adjusting well to having her here. He has to "inspect" her everytime we move her as well as keep a close eye on her when she is crying. I know he is alittle jealous but he is coping well. The cat and the ferret could care less about her. They live in their own little world.
Hope you all enjoy the pictures. I hope this blog is looking better I am still learning.
Love you all
Kristy and Zac

Gracyn Alexandria

Hello to all. This is a quick way to view pictures of our little bundle of joy. I am new at this so I am hoping that I can do this right. If not I will keep trying. This was suggested by Gracie's Granny GiGi(Zac's mom Ardy) as a way to ensure that I can share pictures without sending the same ones over and over. I really am hoping this works. Hope everyone enjoys our little one as much as we are. Love Kristy and Zac
