A big boo-boo for our little girl...

Well, we have some really bad news to share. Our miniature daschund bit Gracie in the face on Saturday. We went to the doctor and she had to get a few stitches above her left brow and across the bridge of her nose. We are hoping for the best and the doctor assures us the scars should fade with time. I would share pictures but I just can't bring myself to take pictures of my cute little girl in this condition. DON'T panic it will be fine, she just looks like she has fought in a boxing match. She of course is a trooper and was so great during the whole thing. All of the medical staff remarked on how well behaved and calm Gracie is. I guess her growing up at the hotel has helped her win over strangers without even trying.
Zac and I have made the hard decision of finding Lewie a home. He is currently with one of our friends, we are hoping this will work out, they have a small dog and as long as the two can get along she is going to provide him a home. Of course we are heartbroken but we have no choice at this point. Gracie is just at that age where she wants to play and sometimes that play is alittle rough. We of course feel so guilty but we are slowly coming to grip with the fact that these things happen and it could have been so much worse.
We take her to the doctor on friday to get the stitches out. Maybe by then I will take a picture or two.

I love this night gown...

Not much going on here at the Johnson house. But I just took a few pics and thought I would share them with everyone. Gracie's favorite book was a gift from her great granny Pauline, here is her reading to her DaDa. This is a pic of me trying to still of kiss and her telling me no. Enjoy!

Wishing for warmer weather!

Like everyone else we have the itch to be outside. I just wish it was warmer. We have been able to enjoy a few quick walks and a few minutes outside to see what the neighbors are up to. I hope everyone is having a great February. Gracie is loving the fact she can walk or run where she wants to go. We are almost binkie(pacifier) free. She is trying to talk but not too many full words. But she can point to body parts now so we are just so proud of her.

Here are some pictures we took today while outside. Our two neighbors little boys were playing in our yard and Gracie and Lewie were making sure they were behaving. Hate to break it to Zac but Gracie loves to be around little boys! And of course Zac jumped at the chance to take a picture with his little girl and his truck. Men, can't live with them can't live without them. Enjoy!

Oh My....She is too darn cute sometimes....

Okay GiGi, here are some pics of gracie with the hair bands you bought Grace for V-Day.
She is running around here laughing at everything and kissing everything. She is too funny sometimes.
We are working on getting rid of the binkies. So, far she had reduced her binkie intake by atleast 75%. And we have notice she is trying to talk more now.
We have been working on the eyes, nose, mouth song. Sometimes she will co-operate and point to one when asked.
Always an adventure with her I guess.
Love you all and Enjoy!

The GiGi has struck again.....

Gracie's grandma GiGi made both sweaters, the one on Gracie and the one Elmo is wearing. Just had to share some pictures.
